Quincy Catholic Academy Information Update
The new Quincy Catholic Academy has started the selection process for the position of principal of
the new school. Each of the three schools has two teachers and two parents that are on the
selection committee. The parent representatives from St. Mary School are parents Jennifer Fearnley
(mother of Evo, Grade 5) and Janet Galvin (mother of Julia, Grade 4 and former students, Victoria and
Jessica). The teacher representatives from St. Mary School are Ms. Major (Gr. 3 & 4) and Mrs.
Fullerton (Gr. 1). All have agreed to assist with the process. There is a fine list of candidates who
have applied for the new position of Principal of Quincy Catholic Academy.
There will also be a parent meeting on Thursday, March 11 at St. Mary Church Hall beginning at 7:00
PM for all parents of all three schools. Come join wiht other parents to help plan for the new
academy. Bring your ideas, thoughts for action and suggestions. We will discuss plans for the
school, make plans for some activities and get to meet one another! Please join us!
Fr. Callahan urges you to consider the new school and the wonderful things it will offer to your
children. Please take note that there is a good deal of financial aid that is available, so don't let the
chance go be without giving it a shot. If you are still undecidied, forms were in last week's
communication envelope where there was a place to write your thoughts on what we could do to help
you consider applying to Quincy Catholic Academy.
